Ordinance would revise land use code for special needs housing

City Council members are scheduled to hear the first reading of an ordinance April 25 that would modify the City’s Land Use Regulatory Code to change permit requirements and development standards for certain types of special needs housing facilities. The ordinance is meant to address some of the issues related to the year-long moratorium on development of special needs housing within the City. The current moratorium is scheduled to expire on May 14, 2006.
