Ordinance would allow 34-home development on East Side

An ordinance scheduled for final reading Jan. 10 would allow vacating a portion of an alleyway between East 50th and East 51st streets and a portion of East 51st St. to allow a property owner to subdivide 6.35 acres into 34 single-family building lots. If approved by the City Council, the petitioner, Bill Rehe of Unique Construction, will build homes in the area known as the Central Park Addition to Tacoma.
