On April 10, members of the City Council approved an ordinance that establishes a new Alcohol Impact Area within the Lincoln District, including portions of South and East Tacoma along South 38th Street. This effort, which was requested by several neighborhood groups in the surrounding area, is an attempt to reduce chronic public inebriation.
