Ocean Blue Communications relocates to Pierce County

Ocean Blue Communications, Inc., a public relations and marketing agency, has recently moved from Snoqualmie, Wash. to the waterfront town of Gig Harbor in Pierce County.

President Kimberly Svetin has 12 years of public relations experience, and is best known for her work in the travel and tourism industry in Hawaii and Washington. Prior to starting her own business in May 2001, Svetin was the public relations director for The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua on Maui and regional public relations manager for Hilton Resorts Hawaii.

“My family and I relocated our home and our jobs to Gig Harbor in Pierce County, which has much to offer both professionally and personally,” Svetin said. “There is a need for effective public relations for the travel and leisure industries in one of the fastest growing areas in the state.”

Ocean Blue Communications will continue to focus on promoting and marketing hospitality companies, events and destinations in the Pacific Northwest and Hawaii.

“Friends and colleagues in South Puget Sound have mentioned the need for quality activities and events without having to make the two-hour, roundtrip drive to Seattle,” Sventin observed.
