The Contracting Agency will automatically add this sales tax to each payment to the Contractor. For this reason, the Contractor shall not include the retail sales tax in the unit Bid Item prices, or in any other contract amount subject to Rule 170, with the following exception. Exception: The Contracting Agency will not add in sales tax for a payment the Contractor or a subcontractor makes on the purchase or rental of tools, machinery, equipment, or consumable supplies not integrated into the project. Such sales taxes shall be included in the unit Bid Item prices or in any other contract amount. Description of Work: This contract provides for the demolition and replacement of roofs, hangar bay doors, storage room doors and windows, removal of mezzanine infrastructures where found within the hangar bays, and installation of new electrical facilities, hangar bay doors, storage room doors and windows, and storm drainage improvements of five (5) existing hangars at Pierce County's (PLU) Thun Field Airport. These improvements also include the construction of a new hangar including hangar bay doors, lavatory, storage units, storage unit and lavatory doors and windows, electrical facilities, water, storm drainage, facilities, sewer grinder facility, and sewer utilities including all excavation, foundation construction, placement of Hot Mix Asphalt, and other work, all in accordance with the attached Contract Plans, these Contract Provisions, and the Standard Specifications.
