Pierce County Human Services hasnt moved, but it has a new address, 3580 Pacific Ave. The former address was 215 S. 36th St.
The new address will enable people to locate our facility more easily, said Fran Lewis, human services director.
The Human Services Building houses the Chemical Dependency, Developmental Disabilities and Mental Health divisions. Mental Health includes Puget Sound Behavioral Health, involuntary commitment and crisis triage.
Aging and Long Term Care, located at 8811 South Tacoma Way, will be joining the other divisions in the near future at the Pacific Avenue site.
The Human Services Building is the former Puget Sound Hospital.
