Museums set summer hours

Tacoma Art Museum, Museum of Glass, and Washington State History Museum will soon switch to their summer schedules. Each of the museums will be open seven days a week through Labor Day, which is Monday, September 4. The three museums will be open 10 am to 5 pm Monday through Saturday and from noon to 5 pm on Sundays. Every third Thursday, the museums are open until 8 pm for Tacoma’s monthly Artwalk. Tacoma Art Museum offers free admission all day on Third Thursdays, while Museum of Glass offers free admission from 5 to 8 pm. Washington State History Museum is open every Thursday from 5 to 8 pm for free.

Tacoma Art Museum and Museum of Glass will begin their summer schedules on Memorial Day, Monday, May 29. Each museum will be open from 10 am to 5 pm on Memorial Day. Washington State History Museum will is currently open seven days a week but will be closed on Monday, May 29 to observe Memorial Day.

The downtown museums make it possible to visit all three museums for a discounted price through the Midweek at the Museums joint admission offer. The Midweek at the Museums pass is available every Wednesday, and can be purchased at any of the three museums.

Midweek at the Museums prices: $18 for adults, $16 for seniors and military, and $14 for children/students ages 6 to 18. Members of any participating museums receive 50% off admission at the other participating museums every Wednesday through the Midweek at the Museums offer.
