City Council members approved a resolution Jan. 3 that elected Council Member Mike Lonergan to the office of Deputy Mayor for a one-year term through Dec. 31, 2006. Also during the Jan. 3 meeting a swearing-in ceremony was held for the re-elected Mayor Bill Baarsma, three Council Members – Mike Lonergan (At-large), Rick Talbert (Council District 4 – East Side) and Connie Ladenburg (Council District 5 – South End) – and one newly elected Council Member, Jake Fey (Council District 2 – North End).
