People who would like to try distance learning through online classes but aren’t sure it is the right method for them can give it a trial period with Pierce College Distance Learnings new Learning Online – Getting Started! class.
For a small fee of $25, students can try out this method for about three weeks.
The four identical sessions begin Aug. 1, Sept. 5, Oct. 17 or Nov. 21.

Students must have regular access to an Internet account and be familiar with use of a personal computer for Web browsing and e-mail.
Class will require approximately 10 hours of online time per week at hours to be selected by the student.
Topics will include contributing to an online community, troubleshooting technological difficulties and motivational techniques.
