JBLM study tops Tacoma City Council study session

During the March 8 study session, Tacoma City Council is scheduled to receive a presentation from the City of Lakewood’s Project Manager for Office of Economic Adjustment Grants, Dan Penrose. Penrose will present the findings of the Joint Base Lewis-McChord Study that was prepared under a grant from the Department of Defense, Office of Economic Adjustment and administered by the City of Lakewood. Joint Base Lewis-McChord is the largest Army installation in the western United States and the third-largest employer in the State of Washington.

As a second item on the agenda, members of Council will discuss the Point Ruston Development Project. Lastly, under Other Items of Interest, language regarding the legislative policy supporting Section 8 housing will be shared.

The Council will not take public comment during the noon study session in the Tacoma Municipal Building North, 733 Market St., Room 16.
