Invitation for businesses to learn about cyber-related crimes

Businesses are invited to hear cyber security experts discuss global trends, regional impacts, and how to protect your business from cybercrime, at a half-day program on May 26 in Lakewood.

The forum covers topics such as shifts in the cyber security industry as technology moves to the cloud, updates on global and regional policy, and how to prevent and detect cybercrime in business.

Private sector speakers include Microsoft Corporation C+E Security Infrastructure Services, Booz Allen Hamilton and Global Business Analysis. Public sector participants include the U.S. Secret Service, Washington Secretary of State Corporations and Charities Division, Washington State Emergency Management’s Cyber Security manager, Pierce County and city of Lakewood.

The Cybercrime/Cybersecurity Forum is from 7:30 a.m. to noon Thursday, May 26. Cost is $20, at the Lakewood City Hall Council Chambers, 6000 Main St. SW in Lakewood.
