Financial services are now more convenient for people in Tacomas Oakland-Madrona business district, where on Dec. 9 Harborstone Credit Union opened its newest financial service center at 4720 Center St. Members can handle all their financial needs in one location: personal banking services, home loans, investment and insurance programs, and business banking.
The 5,120-square-foot building features three drive-up lanes, one drive-up ATM and a walk-up ATM. Inside is a full-service lobby and staff to help members take care of all their banking needs. A full-time residential loan officer also is available on site.
For quicker service, members may try the lobbys express service counter or the self-service areas, where they can apply for a loan or conduct free online banking. Another self-service kiosk is available for CU on Payday loans.
John Korsmo Construction of Lakewood was general contractor for the Center Street office. Casey Group Architects, also in Lakewood, handled the building design.
The Center Street financial service center is Harborstones ninth South Sound location. Harborstone Credit Union’s consolidated assets of $550 million make it the largest South Sound community-based credit union. Its services include full service consumer banking, mortgage lending, investment services, health and life insurance for individuals and small businesses. With a total of nine banking branches, an investment and insurance center, an active call center and Internet branch, Harborstone serves its 51,000 members primarily in the South Sound market from Auburn to Olympia.
