The Landmarks Preservation Commission has a vacancy for the Ex Officio North Slope position. The position is open to residents, property owners or business owners located within the boundaries of the North Slope Historic Special Review District.
The Ex Officio North Slope position serves in a non-voting advisory capacity on matters relating to the North Slope and will serve the remainder of a vacant, unexpired term ending Dec. 31, 2011.
The Landmarks Preservation Commission oversees the establishment and regulation of landmarks, landmark sites and historic districts. Commission meetings are held at 5 p.m. on the second and fourth Wednesdays of the month.
