Free workshops start March 14th- Setting Subcontractors Up for Success

As part of its efforts to help local subcontractors get the business management and administrative skills they need to be successful, the City of Tacoma’s Office of Small Business Enterprise (SBE) has partnered with its Minority Business Development Agency Business Center to host a series of practical, hands-on workshops on March 14, March 28 and April 4, from 5 – 8 p.m., at the Tacoma Housing Authority (*Bay Terrace, Chambers Bay Room, 2550 S. G St.) * Please note this is the updated location, which had been changed.

“These workshops will help subcontractors better understand various aspects of the contracts process, including risk assessment, bonding, certifications, financials and more,” said SBE Program Manager Amy Thomas. “There’s just a wealth of information available, and we have some great speakers lined up, so I highly encourage anyone who is interested to attend all three sessions.”

Are you interested in gaining insight from legal professionals and prime contractors through one on one support? Come to this three event series workshop, where you can learn tips for success, improve your bonding abilities, and receive one on one support from prime contractors to have all your hard questions answered. These classes will assist you in your “back office” preparation and even examine the contract review session to reduce your risks. These will be hands-on practical tips to move you toward getting more contracts awarded and getting paid.

Schedule:
Session One: March 14, 2017 5:00pm to 8:00 pm
Session Two: March 28, 2017 5:00pm to 8:00 pm
Session Three: April 4, 2017 5:00pm to 8:00 pm
