Friendly Earth and The Champion Centre are teaming up to provide a day of free electronic recycling services for the community members of Tacoma. Any old, used, broken or unwanted electronics will be accepted for free. This may include (but is not limited to) appliances, metals, computer equipment and components, home and business electronics, batteries, machinery and electronic accessories. Speakers, light bulbs, paints, wood based products and small miscellaneous plastics will not be accepted at this time The event will be held on Sun., March 11, between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. in The Champion Centre parking lot, located at 1819 E. 72nd St. Friendly Earth, a Seattle-based non-profit electronic recycling organization, aims to provide alternative ways to dispose of electronic waste.
