Real world perspectives on major topics and issues in the global marketplace will be offered at the University of Puget Sound Business
and Leadership Forum, Business Insights from Business Leaders, Thursday, April 8. Puget Sounds School of Business and Leadership and its Board of Visitors have organized this free forum, which they hope to make an annual event.
Its a unique opportunity to learn from and network with successful local
business leaders, said Jim McCullough, professor and director of the School of Business and Leadership. The sessions will be interesting and
informative for our students, and anyone in the community who would like to
attend.
Area business executives will speak on financial services, corporate
culture, business leadership, and 21st Century retailing. Sessions include:
– Getting the deal done once the financial analysis is completed.
2 p.m., Rasmussen Rotunda, Wheelock Student Center.
Mike Andrews of MAK Partners will moderate the discussion, joined by
panelists Curt Nohavec, vice-president of finance at Boeing Shared Services
Group, the Boeing Company; and John Huddleston, executive vice-president and
CFO of Pacifica Bank
– Creating a corporate culture that drives customer service
3:30 p.m., Rasmussen Rotunda, Wheelock Student Center.
Presented by Rick Brooks, president of Zumiez.
– The human elements that can determine success in business

Len Stevens, chairman of EndoBiologics, Inc., will moderate this discussion,
joined by panelists Renée Behnke, president of Sur la Table; Rick Brooks of
Zumiez; and Carl Behnke, president of R.E.B. Enterprises. Brooks and Carl
Behnke are members of the university Board of Trustees.
