Patrick M. Finney has been named manager of Tacoma Powers Electrical Inspection Office, effective March 6, 2006.
Finney, who has been a Tacoma Power electrical inspector since 1998, has 21 years of experience as a journey-level electrician and 12 years of management experience. Prior to joining Tacoma Power, he worked for several Tacoma electrical contractors.
During his tenure with Tacoma Power, Finney has performed both residential and commercial inspections; established relationships with other City of Tacoma departments involved in compliance with various codes; served as the Electrical Inspection Office representative during implementation of new business systems; participated in reviewing the Tacoma Electrical Code; and served as shop steward and on bargaining teams.
