The Washington State Department of Transportation reported at 9:23 a.m. today that police activity blocks the two right lanes of eastbound SR 16. The pedestrian/bicycle path is also closed. WSDOT Incident Response, Washington State Patrol, Tacoma Police and Fire departments are all on scene. Motorists are slowing on the bridge due to the activity which is causing backups almost to the toll plaza. Delays can be expected.
