The Economic Development Board (EDB) for Tacoma-Pierce County is looking for photographs illustrating economic development in Pierce County that can be used on the organization’s new Web site, which is scheduled to launch this fall. To encourage county residents to submit their pictures, the EDB has launched a contest with prizes of $300, $200 and $100 for the best entries. The EDB is looking for color photographs taken with a digital camera that illustrate economic development, such as business activity, people at work, industrial operations, technology, infrastructure, educational endeavors and cultural icons. Photographs, which become the property of the EDB and may be used on the organization’s Web site without attribution or payment, should be e-mailed to info@edbtacomapierce.org with “Photo Contest” in the subject line. The contest ends Sept. 30.
