If you are looking for fast and low-cost ways to promote your business, be sure to attend a free “Economic Gardening: Social Media” workshop on Oct. 23 or 24 at Bates Technical College. The workshop will focus on how to use new and emerging technologies, such as wikis, blogs and social networks, to get the word out about your business.

Tina Janni, a business advisor with the Business and Management Training Center, will lead the sessions. She has over 14 years of demonstrated results, has been a professional coach and tenured faculty member.

You may choose to attend one of the following Economic Gardening sessions:

— Thurs., Oct. 23 from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.
— Fri., Oct. 24 from 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m.

Workshops will be held at Bates Technical College, Clyde Hupp Board Room, 3rd Floor, 1101 S. Yakima Ave.
