More than 1,200 bicyclists are expected to pedal through the hills around Orting Washington for the 27th Annual Daffodil Classic Bicycle Ride, this Sunday, April 21.

The event is sponsored by the Tacoma Wheelmen and offers five routes: 8, 20, 50, 70 and 100 miles. Registration is $18 for individuals and $40 for families and will be held 7 a.m. to noon at the Orting Elementary School, at 316 Washington Ave. N.

A pancake breakfast is also available at Orting Elementary cafeteria 6-11 a.m.
