Council puts EMS levy lid lift on September ballot

Members of the City Council approved a resolution on June 13 that authorizes the City to submit a proposition to the voters at the September primary election to restore the City’s Emergency Medical Services (EMS) property tax levy to $0.50 per $1,000 assessed value for collection in 2007, and would further authorize annual increases in the levy each year thereafter for emergency medical care and services.
