Clover Park announces new board of trustee

Dr. Robert Lenigan of Lakewood, Washington has been appointed to the Clover Park Technical College Board of Trustees by Governor Gregoire.  Dr. Lenigan will replace Walt Waisath who has departed the Board after ten years of service.  Mr. Waisath will continue to support Clover Park Technical College (CPTC) by serving on the General Advisory Council.

“We look forward to the positive contributions Robert will make to Clover Park,” said Dr. Sharon McGavick, CPTC President.  “We feel confident that Robert’s expertise will bring a valuable perspective to the Board of Trustees.”

Dr. Lenigan is an avid supporter of CPTC and its education programs.  He has served as an active member on the CPTC General Advisory Council and remains involved in the local community.  Dr. Leingan is a board member with the Pierce County Labor Council and is a representative for the “Jobs With Justice” organization.

“I am excited for this opportunity,” said Dr. Lenigan.  “I am impressed with Clover Park and its programs.  I am looking forward to the responsibility of helping Clover Park, as a technical college, help pave the way for higher education in the area.”

Dr. Lenigan is a staff psychologist at Western State Hospital in the Center Geriatric services.  Dr. Lenigan’s appointment to the CPTC Board of Trustees is effective Oct. 20, 2005 to Sept. 30, 2010.  The Board of Trustees is the governing body for Clover Park Technical College.
