Cityscape: Downtown Tacoma

For more than seven years, Arvid “Butch” Harder has worked as the graphic artist and page designer at the Tacoma Daily Index. He is also an accomplished illustrator and painter who creates stage designs and frequently spends his lunch breaks here at the Index sketching subjects such as landscapes, tall ships, or horses. This spring, Butch took a walk through Tacoma taking photographs of the cityscape, which he will sketch for a new series that will appear Fridays in the Index.
