In an effort to mitigate the impacts of the ongoing Pacific Avenue construction between South 7th and South 13th Streets, the City of Tacoma is offering a limited-time parking validation program.

The program will provide up to two hours of free validated parking at Park Plaza North, 923 Commerce St., or Park Plaza South, 1125 Commerce St., for shoppers who can provide a dated receipt that shows more than $5 in sales from a vendor located along Pacific Avenue, from South 7th to South 13th Streets.

The steps to take advantage of this offer are as follows:

*Customers would take a ticket at either Park Plaza North, or Park Plaza South.

*Customers would park their vehicles and begin shopping along Pacific Avenue.

*Upon exiting the garage the customers would present their tickets to the attendant along with the receipt for their purchase as validation.

This offer will be good through Jan. 1, 2005.
