The General Services, Public Works and Tacoma Economic Development departments have reason to celebrate. 3CMA, a national communications and marketing group, has announced that Tacoma is a finalist for seven Savvy Awards.
In the marketing category, TEDDs Wired City ad campaign, and the Public Works Environmental Services electronics recycling campaign were named finalists.
Programs sponsored by Environmental Services were named as finalists in the annual report, special publications and service delivery categories.
General Services TV Tacoma was named a finalist for the Port Report in the regular programming category and for the City of Destiny Awards in the one-time special issues programming category.
The awards program will take place on Sept. 4, in Anaheim, Calif.
