City of Tacoma REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS Specification No. ES14-0488F Environmental Services Department Sustainable Materials Management Plan The City of Tacoma is accepting SEALED PROPOSALS for the above solicitation. Submittals will be received and time stamped only at the Purchasing Division, located in the Tacoma Public Utilities Administration Building North, Main Floor, 3628 South 35th Street, Tacoma, WA 98409. Proposals will be received until 11:00 a.m., Pacific Time, Tuesday, October 21, 2014, at which time they will be recorded and forwarded to a Selection Advisory Committee for evaluation. Proposals are not typically opened and read aloud. Project Scope: Develop a Sustainable Materials Management Plan which will outline the steps needed to ensure that the City of Tacoma's waste diversion goal of 70% or more will be met by 2028. In conjunction, an update to the 2009 City of Tacoma Municipal Waste Stream Composition Study and a Material Recycling Facility study will be created.
