City of Tacoma REQUEST FOR BIDS Specification No. ES14-0553F Environmental Services Department NETP Ventilation Project The City of Tacoma is accepting SEALED BIDS for the above solicitation. Submittals will be received and time stamped only at the Purchasing Division, located in the Tacoma Public Utilities Administration Building North, Main Floor, 3628 South 35th Street, Tacoma, WA 98409. Bids will be received until 11:00 a.m., Pacific Time, Tuesday, January 27, 2015, at which time they will be opened by a Purchasing representative and read aloud during a public bid opening held in Conference Room M-1, located on the main floor in the same building. An electronic copy of the complete solicitation documents may be viewed and obtained at the City's plan distribution service provider, ARC, 632 Broadway, Tacoma, WA 98402, or by going to http:// www.nwcontractorsnetwork.com. Prospective bidders will be required to pay reproduction costs. A list of vendors registered for this solicitation is also available at their website. After 1:00 p.m. the day of bid opening, preliminary submittal results and names of vendors submitting bids are posted to www.TacomaPurchasing.org for public viewing. A pre-bid meeting will be held at the the North End Wastewater Treatment Plant located at 4006 N Waterview St, Tacoma, Washington, 98407 at 11:00 am. on Tuesday January 20, 2015. The purpose of the pre-bid meeting is to answer questions about this solicitation and any special or technical requirements. Project Scope: The scope of work generally consists of all general, civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical work needed to remove and replace the NETP ventilation system located in the Influent Pump Station wet well, dry wells, clarifier electrical and chemical rooms. All other work required to complete the NETP Ventilation Upgrade as shown on the Contract Drawings and as specified in the Contract Documents.
