Project Scope: Phase 2 of the East Tacoma PCB Cleanup Project is being conducted to remove PCB-containing tar sealant and underlying contaminated soils from the curb line in a residential area on East 62nd Street between East I Street and East K Street and East K Street from East 60th to East 61st Streets. Investigations conducted indicate that the PCBs originated from PCB-containing tar sealant used between the gutter and asphalt pavement and in catch basins from a LID project completed in 1975.
