Council may hire audit firm
As part of the City of Tacoma’s comprehensive performance program, the City Council will consider a resolution to hire Cooperative Personnel Services for a $120,000 performance audit of the city’s personnel management system. The independent Performance Audit Committee recommended this audit to the council last year. The purpose of the audit is to review the operation, management and organizational structure of the personnel system. It is hoped that recommendations from the audit will help the city improve overall services to citizens and identify potential opportunities to reduce expenses. There will be opportunity for public comment during the meeting.

Citizens Forum
Want to have a say in the City Council’s policy decisions? Share your thoughts at the Citizens Forum. The City Council will set aside a portion of its meeting to allow citizens to speak on any matter over which the council has jurisdiction. The Citizens Forum begins at the end of the regular meeting.
