Submittals in response to an RFP or RFQ are recorded as received but are not typically opened and read aloud. After 1:00 p.m. the day of bid opening, the names of vendors submitting proposals are posted to the website for public viewing. Pre-Proposal Meeting: A pre-proposal meeting will be held at 1:00 PM (PT), May 24, 2016 at the Tacoma Municipal Building, 747 Market St., Room 248, Tacoma, WA 98402. Project Scope: The workforce development program will serve Tacoma residents ages 17 and older who face barriers to entry into the workforce. Participants will be low-income (defined as earning 80-percent or less of the area median income, see table below) and low-skilled residents. Estimate: $100,0000 Paid Leave and Minimum Wage: Effective February 1, 2016, the City of Tacoma requires all employers to provide paid leave and minimum wages, as set forth in Title 18 of the Tacoma Municipal Code.
