Chamber launches redesigned Website

The Tacoma-Pierce County Chamber has launched its redesigned Website.
Besides improvement in site architecture, navigation and image, the Chamber’s new Website (www.tacomachamber.org) provides community information and enhanced member communication not previously offered.

Chamber President David Graybill notes visitors can now come to the site and find members; learn about the Chamber’s benefits and services, and business advocacy efforts.

“We are pleased with our new Website,” notes Chamber President David Graybill. “It’s easy to navigate, and offers expanded relocation and community information not previously offered by our former site. In addition, member information is significantly enhanced with our online Business Directory. Members can even advertise on the site.”

The redesign project began in 2002 with Business Internet Services.
Chamber Communications Manager Sonja Hall highlights the content management tool provided by BIS (Business Internet Services) allows non-technical staff to update information with ease.

“The content management tool supplied by BIS significantly reduces staff time and need for technical training,” Hall said. “This was important to our bottom line.”

Founded in 1996, Business Internet Services is a dedicated Web development company, specializing in assisting businesses in developing successful “digital strategies,” e-commerce solutions and database management.

The Website also features enhanced graphics; an expandable community photo gallery, a Media Center page, Chamber division information, a Chamber newsroom and events calendar, links to other community organizations and much more.
