“The South Sound’s business-to-business trade show – Business EXPO ‘99 – is coming soon to Tacoma.The popular event, hosted by the Tacoma-Pierce Chamber of Commerce, will be November 3 and 4, at the Tacoma Dome Exhibition Hall, and will offer over 130 booths, business seminars, food, music and prizes.This year the event will feature international guests from the Philippines, Germany and China, wanting to meet with Washington businesses to discuss global business issues and opportunities. Last year’s EXPO was attended by international delegations from Norway, Japan, China and Mexico.Sample the South Sound, the popular EXPO-grazing food buffet at EXPO will return in a new and improved format. The area caterers and restaurants will serve generous portions of their specialties from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., both Wednesday and Thursday during EXPO. There is no charge for Sample the South Sound.Free shuttles to EXPO will be operating between downtown Tacoma and the Tacoma Dome, making it easy for businesses to attend the trade show without parking problems.Business seminars will include sales and technology topics, and the Grand Finale of EXPO will feature complimentary wine, hors d’ouerves, and handcrafted beers from Harmon Pub & Brewery. The Pierce College Far West Jazz Ensemble will be performing both days of EXPO as well.”
