Broadnax named Tacoma City Manager

Tacoma City Council members voted unanimously Tuesday night to begin contract negotiations with T.C. Broadnax to become Tacoma’s next city manager. Broadnax has served as an assistant city manager in San Antonio since 2006. Prior to 2006, he was the assistant city manager for the city of Pompano Beach, Fla. from 2004-2006, the deputy city manager from 2001-2004 and the assistant to the city manager/budget officer from 1997-2001. Broadnax was selected from a list of three finalists, including current interim city manager Rey Arellano and Lakewood city manager Andrew Neiditz.
