Bratrud Middleton named in IIAA's Best Practices study

Tacoma’s Bratrud Middleton has been included as part of an elite group of independent insurance agencies around the United States participating in the Independent Insurance Agents of America (IIAA) “Best Practices” Study Group.

Over 800 independent agencies throughout the U.S. were nominated to take part in the annual study. Only 180 agencies qualified for inclusion in the group; that is, the top thirty each of six revenue groups.

Bratrud Middleton was nominated by an IIAA affiliated state association and qualified based on its outstanding customer services, growth, stability and financial management.

The Best Practices Study was initiated by IIAA’s Commission to Enhance Agency Value in 1993 as the foundation for efforts to improve agency performance.

The annual survey and study of leading independent insurance agencies documents the business practices of these “best” agencies and urges others to adopt similar practices.

Bratrud Middleton Insurance was founded in 1923 and is the largest privately-owned insurance brokerage in the state of Washington, providing insurance, surety bonds, advisory, and other financial services to over 40,000 consumers and businesses.

Headquartered in Tacoma, it operates branch offices in Aberdeen, Auburn, Bainbridge Island, Bremerton, Longview, Olympia, Puyallup, and Vancouver.
