BECU Enters Sumner with New Fred Meyer Express Service Center

BECU, the largest credit union in Washington, has opened a staffed Express Service Center (ESC) in the Fred Meyer located at 1201 Valley Ave E. in Sumner. The Center enables credit union members to perform financial transactions — including free ATM, online and telephone banking services, with staff assistance, if needed.

The Center is staffed Mon. thru Fri., 9am to 6pm and Sat. 9am to 5pm with self-service features available anytime the supermarket is open.

With the opening, BECU will provide financial support to Daffodil Valley Elementary School through the Credit Union’s School-Aid program. BECU will donate five dollars to Daffodil Valley Elementary School for each new member who joins at the ESC through January 15th of next year. Donated funds will be used to enhance student learning at Daffodil Valley Elementary School, as determined by the school. BECU has already donated more than $30,000 to 24 schools in the region since the program began.

Previous donations have funded new playground equipment, the purchase of musical instruments and bilingual curriculum.

With more than 380,000 members and more than $4.8 billion in assets, BECU is the largest credit union in Washington and one of the top ten financial cooperatives in the country. All Washington state residents are eligible to join.
