The northwest region of the National Association of Publicly Funded Truck Driving Schools (NAPFTDS) will hold a two-day conference December 8 and 9, at Bates Technical Colleges South Campus, 2201 South 78th Street, Tacoma.
The purpose of the conference is to update and share information on current local, regional and national trucking issues. Trucking companies, insurance carriers, industry advisory members, the Washington State Patrol, Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) and other member schools from Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana and Alaska will be represented. Truck driving instructors, students, industry representatives and interested public are encouraged to attend. The event is free and open to the public.
Topics discussed will include regulation and carrier updates, driver health and wellness, international students, driver professionalism, safety technology and enforcement, women in transportation, and marketing.
