Apply today for Spaceworks Tacoma residency, creative enterprise programs

Spaceworks Tacoma, a joint initiative of the City of Tacoma, Shunpike, and the Tacoma-Pierce County Chamber of Commerce designed to activate empty storefronts and vacant space in downtown Tacoma, is now accepting applications for the Residencies and Creative Enterprises categories on a rolling basis. Interested applicants can apply for one of two opportunities: 1. Creative Enterprise — Provides designers, crafters, consultants and other fledgling entrepreneurs with the chance to test new products and services for three months, with the opportunity to extend to six months; 2. Artist Residency — Offers dedicated practicing artists the chance to pursue projects and develop work in any artistic discipline for three months, with the opportunity to extend to six months.

Participants of Spaceworks Tacoma are temporarily provided no- and low-cost space, exposure, and business consultation in exchange for creatively activating vacant spaces in downtown Tacoma. Applications for the Creative Enterprises and Artist Residencies categories will be reviewed the fourth week of each month. Visit for full details and an application.
