“A 35-foot gray whale has spent the last few days hanging out in the Foss Waterway and drawing plenty of attention from people unaccustomed to being in close proximity to these wonderful creatures. An employee at Johnny’s Restaurant said a whale visited the waterway a couple of years ago. Although most whales migrate to Baja, California for the winter, many stay between northern California and Washington State.
