Washingtons unemployment rate dropped two-tenths of a point in March to a seasonally adjusted 6.8 percent, the state Employment Security commissioner announced Tuesday.
The drop marks the second consecutive month in which unemployment has improved statewide.
Nationally, the unemployment rate rose slightly in March to 5.6 percent.
