“A church that began 90 years ago in a Tacoma living room will move into a $10 million state-of-the-art ministry complex this Sunday.The new facility for Church For All Nations is located at 111 112th Street East in Parkland. The new facility includes a 1,500-seat sanctuary complete with a theater-type stage, as well as classrooms, a “mall-like” grand entrance, television production capability and administrative offices. The 40,000 square-foot sanctuary is reportedly the largest in Pierce County and one of the largest in the Northwest.The congregation, formerly known as Bethel Church, has increased from about 175 worshippers in 1989 to approximately 2,000, according to the church.The church stated they had long ago outgrown their facilities near Tacoma Mall where they had been conducting double Sunday morning services. Construction on the Parkland complex began in 1998 with Merit Company General Contractors of Lakewood serving as the general contractor.The new building is located alongside Highway 512 on 21.3 acres owned by the church.Plans for the use of the new facility take into account the ability to host larger venue concerts, well-known guest speakers and the presentation of dramatic productions.But the focus for the facility will remain on meeting the spiritual and physical needs of the people in the community and evangelism, according to Reverend William Wolfson, pastor of the church.”
