A resolution on the Sept. 27 agenda would authorize an agreement for up to $319,500 with Art Anderson Associates to provide architectural and engineering services to support the refitting and renovation of the Tacoma Fire Department fireboat Commencement. Earlier this year the Fire Department was awarded a Federal Fire Act Grant totaling $750,000 to help pay for the estimated $1.6 million cost to renovate the more than 20-year-old fireboat. Funds for the agreement would be budgeted from the Fire Special Revenue Fund.
