    Port selects East Coast sales manager

    The Port of Tacoma has selected Sue Coffey as its East Coast Regional Sales Manager.

    Coffey brings to the Port more than 20 years of experience in the shipping and transportation industries. She previously worked as Vice President, Sales and Marketing for Global Transportation Solutions in New Jersey. Her rail and shipping line experience includes serving as the Northeast Regional Manager for CSX Intermodal and several sales, marketing and trade management roles with Sea-Land. She also served as an Account Executive at Nedlloyd Lines in New York. Her third-party logistics (3PO) background includes working in Ireland as a Key Account Manager for Eagle Global Logistics.

    “Sue brings a great combination of skills and experience with shipping lines, railroads and third party logistics,” said Rod Koon, the Port’s Senior Director of Marketing and Public Relations. “She is a strategic addition to our East Coast sales and marketing efforts.

    Coffey holds a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing from Baruch College of New York (1999), and an Associates Degree in Communications from Dutchess Community College of Poughkeepsie, New York (1981).
