38th AVENUE IMPROVEMENT PROJECT PHASE 2
PROJECT NO.: CIP-2206 The City of Gig Harbor requests sealed bid proposals for construction of 38th Avenue Improvement Project Phase 2, CIP-2206. The work to be completed under this contract generally provides for the construction of a roundabout at the intersection of 38th Avenue and 56th Street, curbing and sidewalk along the east side of 38th Avenue, full depth HMA pavement, HMA grind and overlay, concrete driveways, storm sewer, detention vault, sanitary sewer , RRFB signal system, illumination, landscaping, and irrigation and other work, all in accordance with the attached Contract Documents.
Contract Documents, including plans, specifications, and price quotation proposal forms may be obtained through Builder’s Exchange as follows:

Bidders may register in order to receive automatic email notification of future addenda and to be placed on the “Bidder’s List”. This on-line plan room provides Bidders with fully usable on-line documents with the ability to download, print to your own printer, order full/partial plan sets from numerous reprographic sources (on-line print order form), and a free on-line digitizer/takeoff tool. Sealed bid proposals will be received only at the City of Gig Harbor Civic Center, Public Works/Community Development Reception Desk on the first floor., 3510 Grandview Street, Gig Harbor, Washington, 98335, no later than Thursday, April 23rd, 2:00 P.M., Bid proposals received after the time fixed for opening will not be considered.
The City will publicly open the sealed bids and read them aloud directly after all bids have been received at the City of Gig Harbor Civic Center. Work shall start within ten (10) calendar days after the Notice to Proceed is issued to the contractor and shall be substantially complete in accordance with Section 1-08.5 of the Special Provisions.
All bid proposals shall be accompanied by a bid proposal deposit in cash, certified check, cashier’s check, or surety bond in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of such bid proposal. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such contract and furnish satisfactory performance bond within the time stated in the contract documents, the bid proposal deposit shall be forfeited to the City of Gig Harbor. No bidder may withdraw their bid proposal after the time fixed for opening thereof, or before award of contract, unless said award is delayed for a period exceeding thirty (30) days. The City of Gig Harbor reserves the right to reject any or all bids, and to waive minor irregularities in the bidding process. The City of Gig Harbor reserves the right to award this contract to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder based on the Bid Proposal. In determining the lowest responsive, responsible bidder, consideration will be given to the criteria listed in Section 1-03 and RCW 39.04.
