At Tacoma City Council’s study session on Tues., Aug. 16, Community and Economic Development Director Ryan Petty and Public Works Director Dick McKinley will provide information on the Center for Urban Waters, its role in the economic development of the Foss Peninsula, opportunities for future growth of the clean water technology sector and the possibility of a Center for Urban Waters II. As part of the presentation, staff will discuss the application for an Innovation Partnership Zone designation from the State of Washington. Council will not take public comment during the noon study session in the Tacoma Municipal Building North, 733 Market St., Room 16.
