The Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on Weds., June 1 regarding proposed changes to the Master Program for Shoreline Development, Tacoma Municipal Code 13.10 Shoreline Management, and Chapters 13.05, 13.06 and 13.11. The public hearing will be held at 5 p.m. in Tacoma City Council Chambers, 747 Market St. Citizens are encouraged to comment on the draft changes, which include environment designations, boundary and zoning amendments, and use and development standards for all lands within 200 feet of the ordinary high water mark, including all marine shorelines, Wapato Lake, Puyallup River and Hylebos Creek, as well as all waters below the ordinary high water mark. Copies of the draft amendments are available from the Community and Economic Development Department at http://www.cityoftacoma.org/shorelineupdate and all at branches of the Tacoma Public Library. Written comments are welcome and must be submitted by 5 p.m., Fri., June 10, to the Tacoma Planning Commission, 747 Market St., Rm. 1036, or faxed to (253) 591-2002, or emailed to planning@cityoftacoma.org .
