Dockworkers voting on labor deal

West Coast dockworkers from Seattle to San Diego – including the Port of Tacoma – began voting Monday on a tentative contract deal reached in November after a bitter labor dispute that led to a 10-day shutdown of ports.
The six-year deal boosts wages and benefits but will lead to some job losses due to new technology.
