Wallace McMorran, general manager and director of McMorran’s Beach House on Cordova Bay Road, and grandson of founder George McMorran, closed the doors of the family-owned restaurant for the last time on Easter Sunday, April 4. The building, which housed a grocery store in its early days, was originally built in 1919 as a hot dog stand. Only one corner of the original house still remains.
