A new staging area for trucks bringing containers to Washington United Terminals at the Port of Tacoma opened June 25. Located opposite the terminal on Port of Tacoma Road, the staging area’s nine lanes can hold an estimated 175 to 225 trucks. The shift in the terminal’s gate access will help it accommodate the increased cargo expected when the Grand Alliance begins calling there July 2. More information is online here.
