Volunteers needed for Tacoma Historical Society exhibit center

The Tacoma Historical Society is looking for volunteers to help run its new exhibit center in downtown Tacoma.

The group’s exhibit center, which opened last month at 919 Pacific Ave., is open 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday. Volunteers would be responsible for greeting visitors, handling simple retail transactions, and general looking after the center.

“As we expected, we’ve had an upsurge in numbers of visitors since we moved from our long-time location on South Cedar Street,” said Tacoma Historical Society Board of Directors Vice President Dr. Dale R. Wirsing.

More information about how to volunteer is available online at tacomahistory.org.
